Dai may seem like a normal young teacher, her youthful looks are not the only things that will fool you. She is a teacher at a high school that was once a Captain of the science division in Soul Society, but that was years ago.
Dai walked down the desolate halls of the inhabited school heading for her class room. She was the first one to enter the school much like always. It was Monday the most dreadful day of the week; Dai knew that the Playful teenagers would begin to start pouring in her class room one by one. Tick... tock... tick…… the only sounds that were heard, were the sounds of the clock on the wall that read 5:45 and the consent clack of her high heel hitting the wooden floor. She steadily approached her room her pace was slow as though she were in a care free mood. The clacking of her heels then stopped as she stood in front of the thick red-wood door with a small window that sat at an average eye level, there was a sign that read B-13 in big red letter with a gashed up white outline . She then placed her hand on the door knob with a semi firm grip; Dai slowly turned the knob then began to push the door. The seemly old door squealed as she walked in. She then turned around and closed the door behind her, as she started to begin on her latest project in secret. Boom the closing of the door echoed down the hall as she walked to her desk as a grin appeared on her face as she pushed her glasses up with her left index finger then brushing herthick black hair back with the same hand.” Let’s begin” she said in a soft feminine voice.

” Let’s begin” she said in a soft feminine voice. Her eyes then narrowed teeth clinched as she sat down in her ragged wooden stair. She then looked outward to the empty class room, slowly turning her head toward the big block sized windows, looking through the three in the room. The left windows curtain was completely down coving the whole window, the dirty brown color glowed gold in the sun. The other two window curtains were pulled up coving only half of the windows which allowed her to see that the sun was beginning to set. A yawn slipped from her lips as she pulled out the desk drawer. Her hand then fumbled around though her material she then found what she was looking for a long rectangular sign that read Dai Sensei. She placed it down on the front and center of the desk. Dai then folder her hand then laid her head on her arm which rest on the desk. Dai then popped out of her gigai, tapped her sword twice with her pinky finger. Dai walked toward the door, she jumped though while in Shinigami form, and begin to ran down the hall way a mock speed with out using her flash step. Her hair dangled behind as she then again jumped through a wall stopping and looking around. Dai almost immediately walk straight into a closet. Seconds later the door then opened, and out walked Dai with another gigai that looked just like the one in her room from head to toe. She then closed the closet door and began to walk away. There was a sign revealed on the door as she walked away. The sign read Science Laboratory.

There was a sign revealed on the door as she walked away. The sign read Science Laboratory. Dai had been doing this same routine for months now; her execution was anything but flawless. There was one reason she continued to do this she want to achieve something she could never in Soul Society her Bankai. Unlike other who trained physically or mentally her training was that of science.
Dai slowly walked to the lab room table as she took a quick glimpse of the steel metal clock bolted to the pail white wall that read 6:04.A loving smile appeared on her, a smile of a mother seeing her child for the first. This four walls where her sanctuary she was at peace here. The smell of mixing chemical the different shape bottles, glass tubes and bowls made her heart beat faster. Dai then sat down at the table as she placed he apron over her head and let if fall to her neck, and then she tied the strings together behind her back. A few minuteshad past and Dai was already deep into the project. Her mind was running wild as she the spoke out loud, “the naturally or artificially produced film or layer of oxidation resulting from metal coming into contact with acid-based chemicals. With certain chemicals and combinations of chemicals, one can achieve a wide range of colors: greens, reds, browns, blacks in varying shades...” She pauses as if she had figures something out “Patina… Its patina” she said her smile had gotten a little bigger but quickly turned into a miserable frown. “But cold patina is usually done by immersing the object in a bath of chemicals. The water temperature can be anywhere from cold to hot, though some immersion techniques require boiling the solution. You can even achieve a cold patina by urinating on your artifact, if you’re so inclined.” Her thoughts than began to get the better of her as she begin to tell her self the different between the two types of patina. “Wait hot patina technique requires that the piece be heated to around 212 degrees F. When a drop of water is dropped on the metal, it should vaporize; if it dances about the surface, in a ball, the metal is too hot and the patina will not stick properly. The chemicals can then be applied with brush, sponge or spray.” Dai mind start to go blank “Whats wrong” she yelled but came out no louder than a normal tone of speech. She then began to go over the preliminaries in her head. “1 the simplest way to paginated brass and copper is with commercial gun bluing solutions. Start with a volume of water just large enough to immerse your item. Warm water works faster. Thoroughly wet the piece in water to drive off any air bubbles. The patina will not color under the bubbles, resulting in bare spots. Immerse the piece in the water, and slowly add small amounts of gun blue to the water until the material starts to brown. Be sure to gently and continuously agitate the solution over the piece.” Dai then got up and began to walk around the room with both hands waving franticly in the air.
